Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), incoming Chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, voted to support Governor Granholm’s nomination. TVA intends to prepare a PEIS to address the potential environmental effects associated with the construction, operation, and decommissioning of an advanced nuclear reactor technology park at TVA’s 935-acre CRN site in Oak Ridge, Roane County, Tennessee.
