Newly appointed President and CEO of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) Rumina Velshi and the recently U.S. Senate-confirmed Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Commissioner David Wright will provide a featured regulatory and safety keynote at a U.S.-Canada nuclear energy leadership summit on August 28-29 in Toronto.
The by-invitation Summit is sponsored by Ready4Nuclear under the auspices of the U.S. Nuclear Industry Council and in conjunction with the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries.
Ms. Velshi is a former Ontario Hydro and Ontario Power Generation executive -- and has served as a Board member on the Ontario Energy Board. Commissioner Wright served as Chairman of the South Carolina Public Service Commission and as President of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners.
