Advanced Reactors Summit Trailblazer Awards to Honor Energy for Humanity, Nuclear Titan Series, GAIN Initiative At Summit VI at University of California San Diego (Jan. 29-31)

January 8, 2019

Energy for Humanity, a key global advocate for solving environmental challenges and enabling universal access to modern energy services, will receive the 2018 Advanced Reactors Summit Trailblazer Award at an awards reception at the Summit VI in recognition of its work in espousing technology-inclusive solutions in pursuit of the "fastest, most cost-effective, most feasible outcomes for people and nature."

The UK and Switzerland-based organization's worldwide outreach footprint includes a clean energy platform embracing nuclear energy along with wind, solar and water as well as carbon capture.

The 125-episode to date "Titans of Nuclear" series, a project of the Energy Impact Center, will be recognized with a Trailblazer Special Achievement Award for its innovative one-on-one interviews with nuclear energy influentials internationally.

The Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear (GAIN) initiative will be honored with the Trailblazer Meritorious Achievement Award for its work in providing the nuclear energy community a single point of access to the technical, regulatory, and financial support necessary to move new or advanced nuclear reactor designs toward commercialization.

The Advanced Reactors Summit Trailblazer Award was established in 2017.  NuScale Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Jose Reyes was the inaugural honoree and Georgia Public Utility Commission official Tim Echols was honored in 2018.
